Canada’s geography proved Lambretta was built for adventure. By 1959, riders were already pushing these machines far beyond city limits. Our club’s roots reach to 1966, when Innocenti gave Ms Verronneau a Lambretta for a 20,000‑mile North American journey—a story we now preserve as part of Canada’s Lambretta legacy.

North of 49 is a two-year national heritage movement celebrating 70 years of Innocenti in Canada. It began Feb 2026 at the Italian Canadian Historical Center and Preston Square - Little Italy. Our Club President Derek Godfrey welcomed Ambassador Alessandro Cattaneo as a member and shared precious Lambretta memories.

North of 49 marks a turning point for Lambretta in North America.
For decades, the story here was shaped by commercial interests — not the Italian communities who lived it. Canada is changing that. Our first national rally brings heritage home with a historical context, honouring the Innocenti legacy on Canadian soil.
