Lambretta is more than a scooter. It is a vessel of memory, identity, and cultural exchange that has travelled across continents and generations. In Canada, the Lambretta story is woven into the experiences of immigrants, families, and communities who carried their traditions, craftsmanship, and pride with them.
Our work is dedicated to preserving this heritage at a national scale. Through exhibitions, public installations, archival research, and partnerships with cultural institutions, we are building a Canadian chapter that honours Lambretta’s global legacy while telling the stories rooted here on our soil.
This page brings together the milestones, recognitions, and partnerships that shape Canada’s role in the international Lambretta movement — including the historic cultural shift now taking place in Italy.

ASI Awards, March 7, 2026 — Italy formally recognizes Lambretta as culture, history, and identity.
Canada’s Lambretta story lives inside a much larger Canadian tradition: the belief that memory is a moral duty. In 2013, the Government of Canada affirmed that preserving community histories — especially those shaped by immigration, resilience, and cultural identity — is essential to understanding who we are as a nation. This commitment to remembrance echoes through the Italian‑Canadian experience, where objects like the Lambretta became symbols of arrival, work, family, and belonging. Our heritage work follows this national philosophy: to document stories, safeguard artifacts, and honour the communities who carried these machines across oceans and across generations. By preserving Lambretta history, we participate in Canada’s broader promise to remember, to teach, and to ensure these stories endure.

Lambretta Club d’Italia has been awarded the ASI Culture Prize 2025—a landmark recognition that affirms Lambretta as culture, history, and identity. This is the first time the prize has ever been granted, marking a turning point in how Lambretta is understood and preserved internationally.
The award celebrates the event held on September 11, 2025 at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, organized by Lambretta Club Milano on the occasion of the return of the Siluro. The gathering, enriched by the thematic meeting of the “A and B,” delivered a clear message shared across borders: Lambretta is a cultural legacy that deserves institutional stewardship and global visibility.
The prize will be formally received on March 7, 2026 in Parma by Giorgio Dalle Nogare, ASI Relations Delegate, representing Lambretta Club d’Italia

We preserve and celebrate Lambretta’s place in Canadian heritage — not just as machines, but as cultural artifacts that shaped communities, design, and identity across this country. Our mission is to protect this legacy through restoration, documentation, exhibitions, and national storytelling rooted in Canadian experience.

Our governance is built on transparency, accountability, and respect for Canada’s cultural institutions. With clear bylaws, documented leadership, and ethical stewardship, we ensure that Canadian stories remain at the centre of our work — protected from external influence or imported narratives.

Canada’s Lambretta story follows two paths: the verified historical lineage documented through original Italian distribution records, and the living culture carried forward by today’s riders, restorers, and storytellers. These paths — understood alongside international context but defined on Canadian terms — form the foundation of our speaker series and national programming.
We work with institutions that value Canadian heritage and support the preservation of our national Lambretta story. Our collaborations focus on partners who recognize the importance of Canada’s own contributions, rather than seeking external validation from abroad.
